Beginners: sound production, first fingerings and simple tunes quickly. The euphonium is forgiving to start and beautiful to develop.
Band players: tone, lyrical phrasing, vibrato and the brass band repertoire. Leicestershire bands are perennially short of euphonium players, and I connect students with local ensembles when they are ready.
Exam students: ABRSM and Trinity grades from Initial to Grade 8.
