I teach in the town and the university area, either at your home or at an agreed venue, plus online if that suits you better. Lessons are weekly or fortnightly: £20 per 30 minutes or £35 for a full hour at Quad Studios in Leicester, with home lessons available for an additional charge and no contracts either way. The same goes for euphonium, baritone and tuba.

I teach at your home or an agreed venue in and around the town. Loughborough students can hire instruments through Leicestershire Music, the county music hub, and I will help you choose between hiring and buying before you commit to anything.

Playing opportunities near Loughborough

The Hathern Band, based in Hathern village just outside Loughborough, is one of the county's best-known bands and runs across multiple sections, which makes it a realistic first-band destination for learners. The Leicestershire Co-op Band and the Syston Band south along the A6 add further options, and Loughborough University's music programme gives adult players and students somewhere to play year round. Low brass players are wanted in all of them.

About your teacher

I hold a Master's in Trombone Performance from UCLA and spent four years as Professor of Low Brass at the Nanhai Conservatory of Music. I have played bass trombone professionally with symphony orchestras, opera companies and jazz orchestras. The full record is on the about page.
